First edition. One of 1200 numbered copies on registre vélin Lafuma. This copy inscribed by Cendrars and Léger on the halftitle, to Cendrars lifelong friend, the Belgian-French writer Albert t'Serstevens : ""à t'Serstevens / Cordialement / F Léger" and "à t'Serstevens, italien, ce petit livre / antiromain Blaise Cendrars" Copies of "La fin du monde" inscribed by both author and artist are uncommon. - It seems superfluous to sing the praises of one of the most famous illustrated books of the 20th Century. Such a success was to be expected from a book with as first sentence: 'Dieu le père est à son bureau américain.'
