One volume : 304 x 204 mm (sheet size) , (2), 80 numbered etchings printed on laid paper, (2); contemporary Spanish binding in full brown mottled calf with dark brown frame-like motif on upper and lower covers, raised bands, gold fillets, red label lettered "Capricho / de / Goya", matching marbled endpapers. Unwashed copy with large margins. Restoration to top of spine.

First edition. Harris 1, 36-115. One of the very early copies, without the scratch on plate 45. As with other early copies the prints are of a very high quality. Moreover, our copy’s binding has all distinguishing marks of the early copies specially bound for Goya.
